Individual therapy for children, adolescents or adults, can be provided directly, or in conjunction with other therapies, such as dyadic or family therapy.
Individual therapy utilises several Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, relaxation strategies, psycho-education, and skills training.
NDIS funded sessions are available for self-managed plans, and can focus upon needs assessment and/or delivery of social and emotional skill development and capacity building to facilitate functional improvement.
Dyadic therapy can support parents or caregivers and child/ren or adolescents to develop healthy patterns of relating and communicating with one another so all feel safe and connected.
This therapy is ideal for families where trauma has had a significant impact, such as out-of-home care, loss of a parent or other significant figure. Caregivers are guided in how to help their child respond to the needs of their child.
Family therapy can help family members improve communication and resolve conflict by enabling members to share and examine difficult thoughts and emotions safely and together.
Family therapy is ideal for all family groups who need support in understanding each other’s experiences and views, and how the health of the relationships between family members informs the overall functioning of the family.
Theraplay is a dyadic child and family therapy that has been recognised as an extremely effective psychotherapy for children.
Theraplay focuses upon supporting healthy child development and particularly their relationships with their caregiver. Theraplay informed therapy is ideal for children with developmental delays or those impacted by trauma.
NDIS funded sessions are available for self-managed plans, and can focus upon needs assessment and/or delivery of social and emotional skill development and capacity building to facilitate functional improvement.
